The Right has allies in the common culture, but they’re now playing defense. They need our help, but we’re not seeing them at all.
Conservatives would do well to realize that the common, online culture on places like Twitch is overwhelmingly leftist. But while these communities are leftist, it’s leftist by way of externally-reinforced rules, created and enforced by leftists in office buildings in San Francisco. The communities have inherent, normal, non-leftist sensibilities that cannot be beaten out of them, and sometimes they come to the surface.
People like V*ush and H*san P*ker, renowned “streamers” and “anarcho-communists” e-celebs, are grandstanding shitlibs that run their own little communities by bearing down with absolute numbers on anyone who is a "chud" and disagrees with them. You’ll see their adherents unleashed in the replies to the above tweet here.
Hundreds of scrawny, communist-flag-waving internet losers reinforce their dominion. But even they know, deep down, that removing your genitals doesn't make you a woman. They just have to pretend to get permission to fall in line. The others are people who say that elementary schoolers need to be instructed about being gay, for some reason, not acknowledging what was actually happening in the school, which was stuff this:
Parents, rightly, show up and plan to protest. Shitlibs in their midst make this known, and the usual bioleninist specimens make plans to have mental breakdowns from their mental illnesses in the street:
They show up, attack parents for wanting their kids to not be groomed into thinking that any of this is normal, then cry foul when they get attacked back.
These leftist freaks have no goal. There is no spirit, no humanity. It is just resentment against their parents and society; they want to end it all. That's why it's so easy for people like Sam Hyde to fuck with them because while they read "the literature" on their ideology, it's literally just window-dressing. They just hate themselves, they hate you, and they hate everything this country stands (stood, really) for.
A certain tweet that's often circulated in right-wing circles references the pillars of leftism, albeit in rather vulgar terms. I'll paraphrase here:
"Leftism isn't socialism, because you can embrace non-socialism and you won't get kicked out. You cannot get away with refusing racial politics, mass migration, and trannies. Therefore, that's what leftism is."
Once again, leaning on Andrew Kloster to articulate this point better than I:
These “professional gamers” and their ilk on the internet are performatively leftist, by and large. They don’t give a shit. But their audience, consisting of a far-above-average number of trannies, mentally ill people, and parasocial losers, all demand that they align politically, or else they’ll raise hell.
I’ve seen it in communities that I used to follow. It’s become a common aside that trannies on the internet will interject their identities wherever possible, compelling or pressuring influencers to affirm “trans rights!'“ and the usual garbage. Others just have become generic, unlikable shitlibs, even without the identity politics.
It used to be a refrain that the internet, unburdened from censorship, would tend towards some tilt of libertarian rightism. I generally agree. What we’re seeing now on the internet is the remains of a culture that refused to reject the eldritch horrors that emerged from Tumblr in the 2010s, which was fermented in universities with critical and queer theory from the 80s to the 2000s.
Whether people like Matt Walsh like it or not, the youth is online. If you resign hobbies like video games and fiction to the left, we will face a reckoning like the Tumblr gender waves, but worse.
The boys are Right; but they need backup. If we’re not there, they will eventually fold. And if the 2000s-born Gen Z generates anywhere near as much shitlibbery as Millennials did when they reached the voting age, then we’re done for.
A bit of rambling to fill the gap where I haven’t been writing.
I retracted the Vtuber/parasocial piece because it needed overhauling and expansion given the AI revolution we’re blindly walking into. It will be returning, hopefully with an interview or two.
I've also been working on some stuff regarding schools in Texas; that piece should be forthcoming next, after this, if my work ethic holds up.
